A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIR

As you are aware, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RESOUND was forced to cancel its plans for ‘Baring it all’ at Brighton Fringe Festival. Due to the ongoing advice to choirs across the UK, it is with great sadness that RESOUND continues to suspend all rehearsals and scheduled performances until Summer 2021, when we hope to begin rehearsing together once again.

Our members are of course saddened not to be able to rehearse and perform together but we have managed to keep in touch through online zoom meetings and socially distanced walks and picnics when Covid legislation has allowed; we feel so lucky to be based in the beautiful Brighton and Hove!

It is also with sad news that I have to report that Stefan Holmström has decided to step down from his position as our musical director. Stefan was one of the co-founders of the ensemble and has been inspiring in his role over the last 10 years.  The members want to thank him for his expert knowledge, his commitment and great humour that he has brought to RESOUND during his leadership. We wish him well with all his future endeavours and hopefully we will manage to persuade him back to lead a few more Estill workshops with us in the future!

We also look forward to our next performance which will be a joint Christmas & 10th Anniversary Concert at St George's, Kemptown, on December 10 and 11, 2021 and welcoming back our exceptional audiences. Until then, we hope you and your families keep safe and well.

Andy
